  • Built in 1940, the Democracy Monument in central Bangkok was designed by Corrado Feroci, who spent much of the 1920s designing monuments for Italian fascist dictator Benito Mussolini. It commemorates the 1932 revolution which ended the absolute monarchy and established Thailand's first constitution.

  • Northern pylons of the Phra Phutta Yodfa Bridge (aka Memorial Bridge), Bangkok. The structure was opened in April 1932 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the establishment of Thailand's reigning Chakri dynasty. It was constructed by British firm Dorman Long, who were also the builders of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
  • This imposing Art Deco commercial building - possibly originally housing a bank - is located at the intersection of Yaowarat and Charoen Krung Roads at the eastern extremity of Bangkok's Chinatown.
