The Goulburn War Memorial, situated at the summit of Rocky Hill, was funded by public subscription and opened in 1925. It commemorates the residents of Goulburn who served in World War I. At night a rotating-beam searchlight operates from the rooftop. The tower's design is reminiscent of the pylons of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, which was under construction at about the same time.
